Bridge expansion joint is an expansion installation set between two beam ends, beam end and abutment, or on the joint position of bridge to meet the requirements of bridge deformation. Seamless bridge expansion joint is to replace expansion installation by paving a layer of high elastic asphalt mixture. This layer can absorb bridge deck displacement caused by temperature or traffic load, and meet expansion and contraction at seasons, ensuring the surface will not crack. 


ESUN self-developed DB bridge expansion joint binders are to add special additives in the original TST bridge expansion joint binder, with performance greatly improved, such as high temperature rutting resistance, low temperature crack resistance, interfacial adhesion and low temperature stress relaxation. Good ductility at high temperature is better for resisting the widening of bridge joints caused by low temperature contraction.

Application

DB bridge expansion joint binders are suitable for small and medium-sized bridges with less than 50mm expansion. 


Horizontal expansion: ±25 mm 

Vertical expansion: ±3 mmn

Working Procedure
